Troy Schoultz is a writer/poet/culture junkie who currently dwells in Wisconsin’s heart of darkness. 

Troy’s poetry and fiction writing credits include publications such as SeattleReview, Fish Drum, Chiron Review Nerve Cowboy, Rattle, Slipstream, Pulsar and several others in the U.S. as well as the U.K. and
Thailand.  He has also served as editor for Wisconsin Review while an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh from 1993-1995.  His first chapbook A Field of Bonfires Sings was published in 1999 by Wolf Angel Press, and a second, Good Friday,was released as an on-line chapbook through TMPoetry.com in 2005 and later in print form independently.  His human interest column “Hub City Living” appeared in several Wisconsin Gannett newspapers.  Troy has recently obtained a master of science teaching degree in English at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and writing a first novel.
 Troy’s inspirations include thunderstorms, garage rock, forgotten cemeteries, abandoned factory buildings, found objects, old men crying in taverns before noon, the number five, and Wisconsin folklore.

    Your inspirations rock…..the number 5, intriguing. Old cemetaries, abandoned factories, and especially thunderstorms are great. Garage bands…I am really picky about my music.
